Woman's health/child's health.?

i am thirteen and just kinda stressed out by mulltiple things. friends school drama. you must know what im talking about when your reading this because mostly everyone goes through it. right? my concern is my health. i've been on a diet just to more healthier. because i usually find myself laying on the couch eating ang telling my younger brother to get stuff for me like water and the remote. i know sounds retard and stupid of me which is why i wanted to stop doing it. im 13 about 5'2 and weigh 88-97 pounds. so of course my doctor is giving me the information of eating untill im full. what my doctor is leaving out is to eat healthy. my dad tells me im too skinny and that eating healthy is making it worse? but what my doctor is saying is that being on a healthy diet is not eating less its eating better foods. but of course my father is hard headed and likes to think he is right so he told me that being on a healthy diet means loosing weight. so he told me to eat more of things. sadly i have been and i feel like im gaining weight and that im not being too healthy. i think my dad is telling me to eat more because like last year or so my friends went to our school councler and told her they thought i had a dease or something and that i was to skinny. so she talked to me about it and contacted my dad. hes been worried about me ever sense. i dont want to be fat when i grow up but i already feel like i have fat coming out.. i know i gained like five pounds in just a couple days. and not only is it that i want to be skinny i want to be healthy... what should i do?Woman's health/child's health.?I think you should listen to your doctor. If you try to avoid junk foods like crisps and chocolate and chips and don't fry things too often you should be fine. You will be ADDING some foods to your diet too, e.g. fruit and veg and pasta, not just taking things away, perhaps you could point this out to your dad. Healthy foods are important to help you grow and develop properly too. Maybe you should take your dad with you to an appointment, or ask your cookery teacher at school to talk to the two of you, or buy a healthy eating book by a reputable author and show it to him?

Saying that, I don't know whether 88-97 pounds is overweight or underweight for 5'2", but your doctor must have checked this out.

Don't overdo it. The odd treat is OK. Focus on eating well and not on losing weight, then if you DO have any excess weight it ought to come off by itself. If not, then you probably weren't overweight to begin with. If your new diet is doing you good then you ought to start feeling more energetic, getting roses in your cheeks etc. If not then ask your doctor again as you may be missing something out.
