Why does America rank lowest in "Health Care Performance"?

behind Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and the United Kingdom?

According to the study just released by American Public Health Association:

We are 27th in life expectancy

21st in child health ranking (infant mortality and low birth weight)

BUT we spend TWICE as much money per person than those other countries.

Why?

Why does America rank lowest in "Health Care Performance"?Most of these other countries offer centralized, single payer health care. No one is uninsured. Why does America rank lowest in "Health Care Performance"?As you well know, it is the "How and Where and What" the money gets spent on.

If the money is used to build more buildings that does not help the patient who needs help right now. If the money is spent on "Administration and Office staff" again that does not help the patient.

If the money is used to increase the wages of the nurses and doctors already in the system, again that does not help the patient that can't find a doctor because there is a shortage of them as older ones retire out and are not being replaced.

I am talking about the public system, not Health Care for profit doctors.(that only the well off can afford) and the poor guy can't.

The poor are left to take care of themselves or die off.

Canada, Germany, and the other countries have a socialist type system where everybody is treated equal when it comes to medical care. So the access to medication is available to them all.

That in itself may be the reasoning.
