If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies?

My age is 27 , she is 19 . The girl is my mother's sister's grand daughter . So my question is , If i marry her, In future will there be any health problem for our child .If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies?Uh idk but i think you should def try to capitalize on this, when you have your babies (they prob will look wierd) they could be in like the next hills have eyes movies lol and they wouldn't even need makeup they would naturally be weird looking. If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies?
Personal opinions aside (apparently in some cultures it's rather common to marry a second cousin, and it is typically legal), generally cousins and second cousins share surprisingly little common genetic ground (in a general sense). I believe first cousins share 1/8 genetic information. If she were your sister for example, I would be much more concerned (again, I am not giving any opinions as to if this is an OK thing to do, that is a whole other issue, if it were even legal).

All of that said, marrying a relative generally is thought to *potentially* result in decreased immune variation, which can potentially be a bad thing. On the other hand, there is some evidence to suggest that having a child with someone who's immune system is too different may be as bad as having children with someone who's immune system is too similar.

Also, if you have any genetic diseases, defects, or disorders in your family, this can definitely raise the risk for your child having these diseases, sometimes to unacceptable levels. You would need to speak to a genetic counsellor. Ask your doctor for referrals.

My personal opinion is that if you "must" do this, you are probably fine (like I said, this is relatively common in some cultures), but that does not mean that you will or will not have problems. The risk of your baby having severe issues largely depends on the genetic disorders (if any) present in your family. My advice is to speak to your doctor and seek referral to a genetic counsellor.

I would also consider not marrying a relative. You can still have her in your life, but not as your wife. ;)

Good luck!If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies? There is definitely a bigger risk of deformation, lung problems, heart problems, etc. It's safest to try marry someone not related. Besides, it's kind of gross.

The healthiest and best looking babies are the ones that are interracial.
that would be ur second cousin and technically its legal....its just kinda yucky... but anyway a second cousin and ur blood is far enough apart that birth effects shouldnt happen. If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies? You should ask a healthcare professional. I do believe there are laws against marrying relatives. If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies?
Creepy, but you two are varied enough genetically for there to be minimal effects.

So, no inbred cyclops, don't worry.
The people here don't know. Seek genetic counseling before proceeding with having children. If I marry a girl from my relatives, what are the chances of getting health Problems for our new born babies?
Probably not, but just to be sure you should talk to a professional about it.
Mostlikey not. %26amp; what would make you want to marry your cousin?!
