Is it safe to get pregnant so soon after a birth of a child?

My wife is 6 weeks pregnant and our youngest - the twins - are 10 weeks old.

She had stopped taking her birth control and the condom split and now she's pregnant. I hadn't known she had stopped taking her birth control. This child will be our 6th child.

I was just wondering how safe it is. I don't think her body had recovered. I am concerned about her health and the child. In the past we have had 6 miscarriages and one of our children died days after his birth.Is it safe to get pregnant so soon after a birth of a child?Your wife should have needed more time for her cervix and uterus to heal... Getting pregnant before they've had time to sufficiently heal increases the risk of infections and miscarriage.



However there are no guarantees that there will be any problems.

MY DAUGHTER IS 10MONTHS OLD AND I GOT PREGNANT 3 MONTHS AFTER I HAD HER I HAD HER JULY 20TH 2009 AND I GOT PREGNANT 3MONTHS AFTER THAT THIS ONE IS DUE JULY 26TH 6DAYS AFTER MY DAUGHTER TURNS A YEAR, I HEARD UR NOT SUPPOSE TO GET PREGNANT UNTILL 6 MONTHS AFTER U HAVE UR BABY, I ACTUALLY GOT PREGNANT ON THE NUVA RING, ( BIRTH CONTROL).... BUT GOOD LUCK, SOUNDS LIKE U HAVE UR HANDS FULL!!!!





JUST MAKE SURE SHE TAKES HER PRE NATLES AND SHE SHOULD BE FINE!!!! GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!!!! Your wife won't be the first or the last to have found herself pregnant around the time of her post natal 6 week check up.All you can do is try to help her out as much as possible with the babies etc.Let her rest every day and encourage her to eat healthily and take vitamins ,minerals and iron.It will be a strain on her body so she needs to take extra care.Good luck!Is it safe to get pregnant so soon after a birth of a child?statistically, the pregnancy may be subject to complications which otherwise may have been avoided - premature birth is more likely when a baby is conceived before the previous child is 18 months old, for example - but this does not mean anything bad will actually happen. It would be advisable though for your wife to report any niggles to her doctor asap, so that any problems can be dealt with quickly. I'm also quite sure she's going to need extra emotional and practical support from those around her - my daughter is nearly two and I'm still not sure i've regained enough of my energy to cope with pregnancy!!
