According to Indiana's child support calculator, it asks who is providing the health coverage for my son and that will be me. However, it asks for a weekly amount paid for the coverage and unfortunately I dont pay anything, but the sole reason Im staying active duty is to ensure that my son will always be financially and medically taken care. Is there some way to factor Tricare into the child support calculator to reduce the amount of child support paid? I don't mind paying money to cover my son's expenses but theyre trying to get my for roughly $600 a month, hes 16 months old and I'd be surprised if he required $100 a month to take care, and I'm not trying to give my ex wife extra money for her to spend on herself and not my son.
Thanks.Indiana child support with tricare health coverage?he'll go through a $100 a WEEK in Diapers alone. but that's beside the point.
the state determines whether or not you can use a formula to equate Tricare to a monetary equivalent and thus reduce your CS payment. you need a lawyer well versed in military law and child support law.Indiana child support with tricare health coverage?WOW!! You really have no idea how much it costs to raise a child. A teenage boy is going to eat a hell of a lot more $100 a month, and probably eats that much in a week. On on top of that the cost of school supplies, extracurricular activities, clothing, cost to maintain a home (rent/mortgage, utilities, taxes, etc.), transportation cost (both to drive him around if he doesn't have a license yet, and just to go to the store to buy the food an other items), and so on, and so on, and so on. $600 doesn't even cover the half the cost.
