My child is 16 I live in Michigan, and my son recently decided he was moving out, he left and went to his girl friends house he does not contact us! Do I legally have to pay for health insurance on a run away?Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child?According to that f-chhead Obama you do. It is law that everyone buys insurance, and you until the son is 25.
However, I doubt anyone will get Nazi enough to obey this law that no one wants.Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child?
What kind of a parent would want to deny their minor child health care, even if they were acting like a typical 16 year old? Do you want to stop paying his insurance out of spite (that's healthy) or do you have other things you'd rather spend money on instead of your child's well-being?
Parent of the year!
ADD: you're responsible for the cost of his healthcare regardless. If you have insurance coverage then the cost to you will be less in the end.
Also, it's impossible for a child to run up doctor's charges like that to spite you. Health insurance doesn't work that way. I can understand a child making that kind of threat because they don't know any better, but I can't understand an adult actually believing it. Maybe this kid is better off on his own. You don't seem to be much smarter than a sack of hammers.Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child? For starters he is not your son. He is your step son. Big huge difference.
Another thing if you stop worrying less about what his mother is doing or not doing to your satisfaction and more about the step son you let get away. You may not be having to ask this question. He is not going back and forth to different doctors either, he has been having chest pains. That is a major reason to be concerned and to want him to be seen. Considering his family tree. You would not know all about that since your not his mother. It's pretty sad that you will display family issues on the internet seeking attention only for you not to get the answers you were hoping for. As for taxes the IRS, will be glad to know your collecting on a child that does not reside in your home. Raise the 2 children you have cause your not nor will you ever be me.You made that 16 year old boy so angry and now you think you have the right to say he is trouble? I think not. He saw you for what you all truly are. Nasty, hateful , people who lie constantly to try and keep up with the Jone's. Guess the grass was not greener on the other side.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should, but if you let your child, a life YOU brought into this world, run away without being a PARENT and stopping him or having the police return him home. I'm sure you probably wont because that's extra money you can spend on beer and weed. It's nice to know that with your child somewhere out in the world. your main concern is saving a few dollars.Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child?Unless it is spelled out in your child support/custody order, there are no laws, yet, that you have to carry health insurance.
Keep in mind, however, that you are still responsible for your son's welfare until he turns 18. Should he get sick or injured, you are liable for his medical expenses.Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child?
you legally have the right to drag his *** home,as a parent you can get in some seious trouble if he decides to start skipping school and other things. You need to have him mancipated through the court of law to not be liable ,you need to now you might face jail time eventually if you don't
Until he's 18 you are responsible for him and any health care costs he incurred so it would be a lot better for you if you did. If you don't want him living where he is report him as a runaway, he is not emancipated and you are still responsible for him.Do I legally have to keep health insurance on my child?
This is your child. Why wouldn't you want to make sure he has insurance? Are you really ready to give up on him? Poor kid
EDIT: How nice to be able to justify abandoning your child. You must be so proud. No wonder he ran away.
Ask dictator Obama, none of us can decipher the 2000 pages on that horrid bill. You probably have to pay a fine if you don't provide insurance, yes.
if you cancelled it and he went to the dr a bunch the hospitals would be hounding you for the bills until hes 18 but then they would be his problem. i would see if you could get him imancipated since he refuses to live at home.
Your insurance automatically covers him unless he is an emancipated minor.
